Shendell & Pollock, P.L. is pleased to announce that leading insurance defense litigator and trial lawyer Julie B. Karron has joined the firm as a Partner in its Boca Raton, Florida office.
Julie brings nearly two decades of experience representing corporations and insurers in the areas of professional liability and large loss commercial general liability claims. Her vast litigation and claims experience includes a wide variety of complex litigation matters in state and federal courts with a focus on the defense of clients including commercial property owners, associations, contractors, developers, and professionals including lawyers, accountants, physicians, insurance agents, and real estate brokers.

Julie comes from an 8-year tenure with Nationwide Insurance Company, where, as an elected officer and Associate Vice President of their Trial Division, she managed twelve staff counsel law offices throughout the southeastern United States. Prior to joining Nationwide, she worked at Hinshaw & Culbertson, LLP. She has also worked as an adjunct professor teaching undergraduate Business Law at American Intercontinental University. Julie was a founding shareholder of Topkin & Schwartz, P.L., and prior to that she worked for the law firm George, Hartz, Lundeen. Julie received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University School of Law in 2005 and her Bachelor of Science from Florida International University in 2001. She is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, the United States District Court for the Southern District, the United States District Court for the Middle District, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
