Josh Lida, Esq. attended the University of Central Florida where he received his B.A. in History with a certificate in Diplomacy in 2012. He then received his Juris Doctorate in 2015 from Nova Southeastern University’sSheppard Broad Law Center where he was active with the school’s radio program as well as a member of Moot Court. As a member of Moot Court in 2014, he competed in the New York City Bar Association Regional Competition.
Josh acquired a broad range of experience in Law, having started practicing during 2015 with experience in Alcohol and Administrative Law before joining a Personal Injury Protection firm defending insurance providers. In 2017, he began his own practice with his father, also an attorney, and grew the practice from solely focusing on criminal defense. This included Intellectual Property, Family Law, and Administrative Law Actions resulting in defending a variety of professionals. In 2020, Josh began the law firm Twig, Trade, & Tribunal, PLLC with 2 other law partners where he was the director of Art and Business Law located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was required to handle the firm’s business litigation and transactional matters.
Josh’s practice focuses heavily on the art world as well as Web3 where he regularly educates and consults with attorneys and or non-attorneys on non-fungible tokens. His practice included all facets of litigation and transactional work assisting small businesses, individuals, and artists with their legal issues. Josh has presented on the topic of NFTs and blockchain with various organizations including the Broward County Bar Association, the Broward County Cultural Division, the American Bar Association’s Section of Intellectual Property Law, and Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of law. Josh’s background has been extremely valuable throughout his career at Twig, Trade, & Tribunal, PPLC in the following areas Lawyers and Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Transportation, Commercial Litigation and Contract Law to which he was fully involved on behalf of the firm and their clients. Josh is also active in the Local Legal Community where he is a board member of the Young Lawyer’s Section for the Broward County Bar Association. He regularly appears on the BCBA’s YouTube podcast discussing various emerging fields of the law including NFTs and artificial intelligence.
In his free time, he enjoys drawing, visiting museums, working out, and exploring the local beer and food scene which south Florida has to offer.
