Chris Badiavas Associate

Mr. Badiavas is a member of the Firm’s Construction and General Liability Practice Groups where he focuses upon representing and defending clients in onstruction defect claims, injuries caused on construction sites, and local and national clients involving premises and retail liability, automobile liability and general liability. Chris also handles the defense of community association board members and commercial property owners in a wide variety of disputes.  Prior to joining Shendell & Pollock, P.L. Chris served as a member of an in-house counsel team for the largest insurer of residential properties in Florida. In his representation of insurers, he has experience in performing coverage analysis as well as complex investigations. He has successfully argued the full gamut of motions, including summary judgments and other dispositive motions on behalf of his clients before state and federal tribunals.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in English literature with a Biology minor in 2013. He returned to the University of Miami where he earned his Juris Doctorate from the School of Law in 2017. During his time at the University of Miami, Chris was a student legal intern with the Children & Youth Law Clinic where he advocated for children who were in Florida’s foster care system. Additionally, Chris worked with the local ACLU office assisting with its Sentencing Reform Initiative project.
