Jon Rubin is a graduate of St. John’s University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. Mr. Rubin also earned his Juris Doctor from St. John’s Law School in 1991. After completing law school, Mr. Rubin became an Assistant District Attorney for the Queens County District Attorney’s office, from 1991-1994, where he was responsible for all criminal litigation and appeals. After leaving the District Attorney’s office, Mr. Rubin worked with several Florida litigation firms including: Ivone DeVine and Jensen; Green Ackerman and Frost; and, Hightower Stratton Novigrod and Kantor, where he was the firm’s Catastrophic Loss Division Leader.
Jon’s areas of practice include professional liability defense, wrongful death, construction defect, property damage subrogation and insurance coverage issues, automobile liability litigation, restaurant liability litigation, medical malpractice defense – including the defense of hospitals, physicians, nurses and other medical professionals, nursing home defense, the defense of law firms, real estate professionals, other professionals, complex commercial disputes, and first and third party property litigation. Jon is licensed to practice law in all trial and appellate courts in the State of Florida, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the Courts of the State of New York.
