Jonah Kaplan Associate Jonah Kaplan has accumulated a diverse array of professional experience in the accounting, political and legal fields. Mr. Kaplan gained his Certified Public Accounting license and worked as a public accountant for three years. He served as the assistant to the General Counsel for United States Senator Mel Martinez (Florida) on various legislative projects in banking and immigration reform. More recently, Mr. Kaplan worked at an insurance defense firm concentrating in first and third party litigation. Mr. Kaplan was primarily responsible for managing his prior firm’s first party property cases and declaratory judgment actions. He also worked closely (in house) with the litigation and claims department of a national insurance carrier based in Sarasota, Florida. Mr. Kaplan also has experience in third party insurance defense matters including construction, premises liability, and intellectual property. Mr. Kaplan previous work experience include Big Four accounting firms, Fortune 500 companies and local law firms.
